Daredevil: Born Again has now earned a big honor from Rotten Tomatoes. After the ninth episode came out on Disney+, the show was given the “Certified Fresh” label. This means many critics and fans think the show is very good.
Rotten Tomatoes gives this label only when a show has a score of 75% or more from at least 20 reviews. Daredevil: Born Again didn’t get this label right away, even though it always had high scores. But now that the first part of the show is over, it has finally reached this big milestone.
Right now, Daredevil: Born Again has an 88% score from critics and an 80% score from viewers. This shows that most people really like the show. It also matches the good scores from the older Netflix Daredevil seasons. For example, season 1 had a 99% critic score, and season 3 had a 97%. Even though the new season is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it still feels like the old show that many fans loved.
Episode 9 of Daredevil: Born Again was full of surprises. It had a big cliffhanger and many emotional moments. One shocking moment was the death of Commissioner Gallo, which helped the show keep its high scores. The episode also brought back characters like Frank Castle (also known as the Punisher) and Karen Page. Their story was very popular in the older Netflix seasons, and fans were happy to see them again.
One interesting thing is how some characters’ deaths made the scores go up or down. For example, when Foggy Nelson died in episode 1, people were sad but still liked the story. But in episode 2, White Tiger’s death did not help the scores stay high. Even with these ups and downs, the show stayed above 80% all season.
There’s also a post-credits scene in episode 9 that hints at two new Marvel shows coming soon on Disney+. This makes fans even more excited about what’s next for Daredevil and the other street-level heroes in the MCU. The show also sets up a new fight between Daredevil and Wilson Fisk, who is now the mayor. This story will continue in season 2, which is planned to come out in 2026.
Now that Daredevil: Born Again is Certified Fresh, it has to keep that level in season 2. The next season will have a lot to live up to, but it also has the chance to tell more exciting stories. You can check out the official ratings and reviews for the show on Rotten Tomatoes.
